Terms of use

• You submit a request with your material and instructions. Submitting a request does not commit you to pay.
• Rabbi Kamenetzky reviews the request and emails a quote. Pricing is typically US$31 to US$42 per page, with complex work quoted higher. The quote is the card price; paying by Zelle earns a discount shown on the quote.
• You accept the quote by paying on your order page. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Standard turnaround is 48 hours from payment, not counting Shabbos and Yom Tov. A 24-hour rush is available, quoted on request. Turnaround times are our target, not a guarantee.
• Your finished sheet is delivered as a PDF through a link on your order page.
• You can request edits to a delivered sheet from your order page. Edits typically cost US$10 to US$15 and are quoted before any work starts.

You confirm that you have the right to send us the material you upload and to have it adapted for your teaching. You keep whatever rights you had in your material. You give us permission to use it only to prepare, deliver, and edit your sheet. We keep it private and do not share it with other customers.

You may print and share the sheet with your own talmidim and class. Reselling it, posting it online, or passing it to other schools needs written permission.

Custom Daf keeps the copyright in the prepared sheet, including its layout, nekudos, formatting, footnotes, and worksheets. The permission above is the license you receive when you pay for the order. Ask at admin@customdaf.com if you need wider use, for example across a school.

You may use the site to learn about the Service, place orders, and contact us. You may not copy or republish the site's content or sample sheets, interfere with how the site works, or use it to build a competing service.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

Our privacy policy at customdaf.com/privacy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these terms.

We prepare every sheet with care, but you are responsible for reviewing it before you teach from it or print it for your class. Apart from the commitments in these terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, Custom Daf is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US$50 and the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

We may decline an order, or suspend access to the Service, if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken. Sections 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 continue to apply after your use of the Service ends.

• Changes. We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Orders already paid are governed by the terms in effect when you paid.
• Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and we agree to the state and federal courts in New Jersey for any dispute, except that you may bring a claim in small claims court where you live if that court has jurisdiction.
• Electronic communications. You agree to receive notices from us by email or on the site.
• Accessibility. If anything on the site is hard to use, contact us and we will help you place your order another way.
• Entire agreement. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
