Privacy policy

We collect personal information only for the purposes below, and we tell you those purposes at the point of collection, on the order and contact forms.

• Order details: your name, email address, and phone number, the masechta and dafim, the kind of sheet, the turnaround you want, and your instructions. We use these to review your request, send a quote, prepare the sheet, and contact you about the order.
• Files you upload: the daf, scans, photos, or marked-up sheets you send with an order or an edit request. We use them only to prepare your sheet.
• Payment records: when you pay, Stripe collects your card details directly on its own checkout page. We never see or store your full card number. We keep the payment status, amount, and Stripe's reference numbers so we can match the payment to your order.
• Messages: when you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message by email so we can reply. Contact form messages are not stored in our order database.
• Emails we send you: order confirmations, quotes, payment receipts, delivery notices, and reminders about an open order. These are about your order only.
• Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and to keep the Service running.

The material you send is Torah study material. We treat it as private, use it only to prepare your sheet, and do not share it with other customers.

The public pages of the Service do not use analytics, advertising, or social media cookies. The admin area uses essential sign-in cookies for Custom Daf staff only. When you pay, you are taken to Stripe's checkout page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy.

By submitting an order or a message, you consent to us using your information for the purposes described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing admin@customdaf.com. If you withdraw consent while an order is open, we may not be able to finish that order.

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the Service for us, and only what each one needs:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Supabase stores order records and uploaded and delivered files.
• Stripe processes payments. Stripe uses payment data under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Resend delivers our emails.

We may also disclose information to professional advisors, or to authorities when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers, or others. If the business is ever transferred, customer records may move to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Our service providers are based in the United States and store and process your information there, and may also process it in other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred to the United States and is subject to its laws. Email admin@customdaf.com if you want more detail about how a provider handles your information.

We keep order records, files, and emails for as long as we need them to provide the Service, handle edit requests on past orders, and meet accounting and tax obligations. Files uploaded to an order that is never submitted are deleted automatically within two days. When we no longer need information, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your order records sooner, subject to what we must keep for accounting.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information, subject to what we must keep by law; and
• stop using your information, by withdrawing consent as described above.

Email admin@customdaf.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address on your order. We respond within 30 days.

If you live in a U.S. state with a privacy law, we honor these same requests whether or not that law applies to us.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including private file storage, links that expire, and restricted staff access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

The Service is for rebbeim, tutors, schools, and other adults ordering teaching material. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and post the new version here. Using the Service after that date means the updated policy applies.
